My Word for 2020...

Every year, for the last few years at least, I've set myself a word for the year ahead. This word doesn't replace my resolutions. It runs alongside them. But I find keeping one word in my mind every single day helps me on my way to creating a better life for myself in the new year as well as helping me towards achieving my goals. Last year's word was joy and whilst 2019 had it's share of negatives, I would say joy was definitely on the menu for the majority of the year. So what's this year's word? The word for 2020, not just a new year but the start of a new decade?

This is the year I want to start making my big dreams happen. It's also the year I turn 30, and I think that's serving as pretty big inspo if I'm being honest. Chris and I are taking bigger steps than ever to become parents (more about that soon), our relationship is stronger than ever and I'm finally getting a handle on my finances (about time, right?) I feel like all my dreams (of becoming a parent, becoming debt free, having the sort of relationship I've always dreamed about) could be within reach and so this year I'm focusing on working hard to reach them. I might not make all of those dreams a reality this year. I might not make any of those dreams a reality this year. But if I can start taking steps towards making those dreams become real, then I'll feel like this year has been a success. Wish me luck!

What's your word for 2020?
