Life Lessons From 2019...

I was going to preface this post by saying that nothing really momentous happened in 2019. But that would be a lie. I became seriously ill from blood loss, discovered there's nothing physical preventing me from getting pregnant, put a hold on having babies whilst I work on sorting my hormonal issues out, was sexually assaulted and lost all faith in the police, and more. In all of that, there had to be some pretty big life lessons, right? So here's what 2019 taught me...

1. Do the right thing

2. Be brave.

3. Remember to refill your own cup.

4. Put less pressure on yourself.

5. Good enough is good enough.

6. You can choose how you feel.

7. Choose your support network carefully.

8. Don't be afraid to cut toxic people out of your life.

9. Prioritise self-care.

10. You are what you eat.

11. Exercise isn't as bad as you think it's going to be.

12. Spend more time reading, less time watching TV.

13. Animal companionship is good for the soul.

14. Make time for the people who matter.

15. Take pride in yourself; appearance, home, etc.

16. Drink more water!

17. New Year's Eve really isn't all it's cracked up to be.

18. You really do have a dairy intolerance. Stop drinking pints of milk and eating bars of chocolate.

19. Friends will never not be funny.

So, I thought this post might get a bit long and rambling if I wrote an explanation next to each point. I hope they all make sense without an explanation needed! As you can probably tell, some of my life lessons from 2019 are very specific to me whilst others, I hope, are more general and could be related to by you, the reader. Let me know if any of these resonate with you in the comments section below.
