Mr and Mrs: Two Years On

This post is a little late, but hey, better late than never eh?

September 15th 2019 saw us celebrate our two year wedding anniversary. Neither of us, nor anyone else who attended the wedding, can believe it's been two years since that amazing day. It feels like both forever ago and just yesterday.

Although I've now been a Mrs for two years, I still sometimes get a little thrill when someone refers to me as such. I waited so long to marry my husband that sometimes it still feels a little surreal that I really am.

But otherwise? Not much has changed. Marriage really is just a piece of paper, it doesn't change your day-to-day routine, how you feel about each other, or anything else for that matter. So why was it so important to me? Because it's a dedication to each other, it's a way to express your love for one another, and it's a binding, lifelong commitment you make to each other.

Really, all that's changed in those two years is my name and that I threaten hubby with divorce instead of leaving him on a semi-regular basis! Otherwise, we continue to plod on through life together, side-by-side through everything.

Of course, once marriage is ticked off the big to-do list, there comes children. And as you may know if you've been reading this blog for a while, that's something we've been struggling with since before we even got married. But that's the next big thing we're working towards and I hope to have an update on that for you soon. So keep an eye out for that if you're interested!

What are your tips for a long and healthy marriage?
