2019 Goals Check-In!

We're over halfway through 2019 already, and I haven't checked in on my 2019 goals once. Eek. I'm feeling pretty pessimistic about how well I'm doing with these goals, to be honest. But let's crack on and take a look back at the goals I set myself back in January, and how I've been getting on with them since then.

1. Lose six stone. I'm finally on the right path but short of some extreme wasting illness, or never eating again for the remainder of this year, I can't see myself losing six stone. So here's my new goal: Lose one stone.

2. Exercise regularly. Lololol. I really hate exercise. I adore swimming, but I can't because of my irregular periods and complete unpredictability of them. So, new goal that'll help me on the losing weight one: Eat healthier.

3. Read 150 books. Finally, a goal I know I'm going to achieve. I'm currently three books ahead of schedule, and I'm getting through books pretty well at the moment. Unless I hit a massive reading slump, I can't see myself not achieving this goal. Next year? I'm shooting for 180!!

4. Stop a bad habit. I did, and then I started again. But now I'm more determined than ever to give it up again. I'm feeling pretty positive I can achieve this before this year is up.

5. Curb my spending. *whistles innocently.* This definitely has not gone so well this year. But from July's payday onward, I'm planning to not spend more than I earn and to focus on paying off my debt, not making more. 

1. Redesign my blog. Yass, finally one I can say I've done. I paid someone to install a new theme on my blog not too long after the Pipdig drama. And I love the new look. I'm still tweaking it now, making it truly mine. But I'm very happy with how my blog is looking now. And I'm pleased to know I'm no longer supporting Pipdig.

2. Meet another blog friend IRL. I haven't achieved this yet, but I haven't really put much effort into this one either. So I'm going to put a lot more effort into achieving this one over the next few months, and see who I can meet and when!

3. Reach 4K on Twitter. How optimistic was I? This is very unlikely, so here's my new goal: Reach 3K on Twitter.

4. Reach 400 followers on Bloglovin'. Nope, nowhere near. And I don't put too much effort into promoting BL to be honest. So my new goal: Reach 250 followers on Bloglovin'.

5. Reach 2.5K on Instagram. Instagram's a bit of a bitch, isn't it? Every single time I think I'm getting somewhere with it, IG delete a load of my followers or stop showing my posts. So another new goal: Reach 2K on Instagram.

6. Reach 350 likes on Facebook Nowhere near. New goal: Reach 200 likes on Facebook.

7. Work with 10 new to my blog brands/companies. I'm not quite there yet, but I'm close. Currently I've worked with 7 new to my blog brands/companies/authors. Yes, I'm counting authors now too. Most notably, Walkers/The Spice Girls.

8. Take some time off. I've been much better this year at stepping away from my blog when I feel burnout threatening. I've taken more time off this year so far than I did last year in it's entirety. So that's good.

9. Create new regular content. I've got a few new monthly posts up my sleeve, one of which will be launching in August. And my haul posts/book haul posts have become a regular occurrence too. So I'm counting that as a win.

10. Use IG Stories regularly. I am a total convert to IG Stories. I adore it for sharing life updates, hauls, and days in my life. If you want to see what I share you can follow me here

It's not great. But I've actually ticked off more than I thought I would have. And I'm also well on my way to quite a few others. I'm hoping my new goals are more achievable but time will tell. Keep an eye out end of December/beginning of January for a review of my 2019 goals and how many I managed to achieve over the last half of the year.
