May-June Book Haul (Part 1)

Yep, you read that right. This is Part 1. Part 1 of 2. But possibly Part 1 of 3. Let's be honest, it's more likely to be Part 1 of 3. You all know how I am when it comes to buying books. Now, I promised my husband I wouldn't buy anymore books since he let me have another bookcase in the living room. But I've got around that, kind of, with pre-orders, books from friends and family, and buying lots of children's books. For our future kids, obvs.

Reading OCD has gripped me hard the last six months or so and I haven't been able to figure out how to overcome it. But I think I'm finally on to a cure. I decided to retrain my brain by going right back to basics. I gathered all the kids books I already had in the house, and bought more, and started reading them. And it's working! I'm falling back in love with reading, and learning to be less of a perfectionist with it. So fingers crossed I'm on my way to beating this thing and I'll be back reading my crime thrillers in no time.

And who knows, maybe all my brain needed was a break from all the dark and heavy stuff I tend to like to read?

Anyway, here's Part 1 of my May-June Book Haul. Enjoy!
