Life Lately: January Edition!

Hands up if you can't believe January is almost over already? I swear to god, last January felt like the longest month ever. But this January seems to have whizzed by. Time definitely seems to speed up the older you get. Anyway, time for a quick recap on January. Here's what I've doing, buying, watching, reading and more this month.

Doing...lots of worrying. This year hasn't got off to the best start, but I don't want to go into details. I'm just taking each day as it comes at the moment, and hoping for the best. We've also been very busy baby making. You might want to read my latest Let's Talk Babies post to find out more! What else? Well, I've caught up with friends and family. I've had my nails done, and spent way too much time reading magazines and not enough time reading books!
Buying...all the unicorn stuff! Asda are the best for unicorn themed homeware. Home Bargains are also killing it, though. I've also been buying waaaay too many books. And new bookshelves! We spent New Year's Day in Ikea buying two Gersby bookcases (at just £16 each!) and then, of course, putting them together. It took us all day, but they look so good in the corner of the living room. Much better than the multiple, wobbly, piles of books that were taking over the living room before.
Watching...The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair. That's my current binge-watch. I've also been watching, with hubby, SAS: Who Dares Wins, and Hunted. Two of our fave programmes to watch together.
Listening to...There are a few songs I'm really digging at the moment. But I've recently rediscovered my love for My Chemical Romance. They help me sleep at night.
Spending...not enough time sleeping. Between my husband snoring, and me having vivid, crazy dreams, sleep is most elusive at the moment. Naps are getting me through the day, but this is not a long-term solution. I'm starting to understand why some couples sleep in separate bedrooms. That option is starting to look very appealing!
Planning...a debt free future. I'm working really hard on clearing my debt over the next two years. By the end of 2020, going by my current plan, I should be debt free. And what a lovely feeling that'll be!

My cat in his favourite place during the colder months - on top of the radiator!

My new bookcases!

The Comforter Bath Bomb - from Lush's Community Favourites collection.

Unicorn Tealight Holder from Asda. So cute!

Let me know what you got up to in January in the comments section below!
