Life Lately: December Edition!

I cannot believe this is my last Life Lately post of 2018! One week today, we'll be busy celebrating the past year and seeing in the New Year. Can you believe that? I'm not quite ready to move into 2019 just yet though. First I want to take a look back at the last month of 2018; the things I did, the memories I made, and so on. So, let's dive right in!

Doing...all the festive things! From festive drinks to festive meals, wrapping presents to writing cards; I've done it all. We kicked the month off with a busy day of Christmas shopping in Cardiff. I'd already done all my Christmas shopping *smug face* so used the day as an excuse to treat myself, obvs. Then there came a lovely meal and family get together to celebrate my granddad's 80th birthday! And a day out in Tewkesbury shopping, drinking, eating and exchanging presents with the lovely Steph. There's also been plenty of days spent food shopping, gift shopping, card writing and gift wrapping. We also spent a day in the Forest visiting friends for gift giving. And spent Christmas Eve at the local theatre watching the Christmas Panto. And, of course, we celebrated Christmas with our families - in-laws on Christmas Day, and my family on Boxing Day. And we saw in the New Year with friends. (Well, we haven't yet, but those are our plans for the last week of December!)
Buying...far too many books. My book buying ban is over, bitches. Till January, anyway. And I've been taking advantage of this. Check out my latest Book Haul post to see what books I've been buying this month. I also treated myself to another Ted Baker bag (see photo below). It's one I've had my eye on for so long, and when I found it in the sale at House of Fraser, how could I resist? It's just so me! I know you'll agree.
Reading...lots of magazines. I've taken a break from reading books this month, after completing my GoodReads challenge back in November. I have a huge stack of magazines to get through, so I've been enjoying a magazine or two with a cup of tea and a box of chocolates. 'Tis the eat all the chocolate, right?
Watching...The Apprentice. Did not see Sian winning, to be honest. Hubby and I both pegged Camilla as the winner. But fair play to Sian, hopefully she can make a success of her swimwear business with Lord Sugar's help!
Spending...lots of time with family. That's what Christmas is all about really, right? From birthday celebrations to celebrating the festive season. There has been lots of time to spend with family and friends and that makes me very happy.
Looking forward to...2019. I want to make it the best year yet. And I have so many plans! Bring it on, 2019, I'm ready for you.

Started the month with these rose gold, sparkly nails. Check out my December Favourites post for a photo of my festive nails!

Lunch with Steph!

Just a cute  photo of my cat, chilling on a pillow.
