May Favourites!

I don't want to alarm anybody but...we're nearly halfway through the year already. How?! Although January felt like the longest month EVER, the last few months have just whizzed by! I can't believe it's nearly June already. Before we enter into a new month, though, let's take a quick look at what I've been loving this month.

From early starts to late nights, my sleep has been all kinds of fucked up this month. So I've been taking plenty of naps. Honestly don't know how I would have survived this month without naps. Oh naps, how I love you...

I've read some really great books this month, like Rupi Kaur's Milk and Honey. But the standout book of May, possibly of 2018, was Jodi Picoult's Small Great Things. This book. Ugh. It gave me all the feels. And it's still haunting me, a week after I turned the last page. I'll be sharing my thoughts on this book in a full review on the blog soon, so keep an eye out for that!

I think this bath bomb was Christmas Jumper? I remember it had reindeer on, and was a pinkish/red colour before I chucked it in the bath. Anyway, I'm still loving my weekly Lush bath, even though the weather is warming up. I just add a little more cold water to avoid turning the bathroom into a sauna.

Coronation Street has been SO GOOD recently. I know not everyone is thrilled about how dark the soap drama has gotten of late, but I think it's great that ITV are highlighting male suicide, male rape and other important subjects in their show. Aidan's suicide shook me, as did David's rape, but I hope it helps others who have gone through something similar, or are in a similar bad place, to open up and talk.

By far the favourite purchase I made this month was the infamous Chip Bubbles Mug. I couldn't believe it when my local Primark finally had some in-stock! I never thought I'd be able to get my hands on one of these, to be honest, and right now Chip has pride of place on my bookcase. He's too cute to use!

I've decided to start including a new favourite every month from now on; my favourite blog this month. Although Steph's been a bit quiet on the old blog front this month due to a big move, I adore her posts. From books to mental health, she covers a wide variety of subjects. And her photos are just goals, to be honest. Seriously, go pay Nourish ME a visit. You won't regret it!
