Life Lately - January Edition!

Thank god January is almost over! Anyone else feel like that month just dragged by? I do! I can't wait for February, to be honest. I'm looking forward to Valentine's Day, obviously. But I'm also going to be starting over with my goals in February, and working harder to achieve them. I'm treating January as a trial month, anyone else?

Doing...not much of anything, if I'm honest. We caught up with some old friends for a lovely meal. Celebrated seven years together! Our cat, Harley, turned three. And my grandma turned an age she'd probably rather I didn't reveal on my blog *wink*
Buying...far too much in the January sales. Check out my January Sales Haul Post to see what I picked up! I've also recently picked up a few bubble bars and bath bombs from Lush's Valentine's collection. I chose; Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar, The Heart of Enlightened Expectation Bubble Bar, and The Love Boat Bath Bomb.
Reading...too many duds, this month. Little Fires Everywhere, by Celeste Ng, was a waffley, three star read at best. I stepped out of my comfort zone this month with Adam Kay's This Is Going To Hurt, and wished I'd stayed inside my comfort zone. Memoirs are not for me. White Bodies, however, by Jane Robins? A five star read; a novel that more than made up for the duds I've read this month.
Watching...I finally finished watching 13 Reasons Why and Oh. My. God. So triggering. I found it really hard to watch, but I'm glad I saw it through. This month saw the return of SAS: Who Dares Win and Hunted to Channel Four, too.
Eating...Easter chocolate! Kinder Eggs, Mini Eggs and Malteaster Bunnies. I'm so excited about all the Easter chocolate being back in stores.
Spending...time choosing the wedding photos we'd like printed. We've finally chosen just 212 (yes, just!) and they're on their way to us as I type. In fact, by the time this post goes live, they should be in my hand! How exciting. I can't wait to frame them and fill our wedding album with them.
Looking forward to...February, and Valentine's Day. We don't go overboard on Valentine's Day, but we usually have a date night; maybe a film, and a nice meal out?

And that's a wrap on January! See you on the flip side; in February.

How's life been treating you recently?
