October Faves!

Since nobody answered my very important question in my September Favourites post (about what style you preferred; ordered or chatty) I'm going to go with what I prefer writing on this one. And that's chatty posts. So, grab a beverage of your choosing and get comfy, with your dog on your lap or a cat by your side. Here's my October (October?!) favourites!

I know I've used this photo in a previous blog post, but it's the only one I've got of what was one of my favourite nights of the month. Every year, the biggest street fair in the South West takes over Tewkesbury town centre for two days. On the second day, my husband and I, plus in-laws, wandered into town for a go on the Dodgems, some candy floss and a burger. It was a great night, and it's always fun to see everyone enjoying themselves at the fair!

Whilst we wait for our official wedding photos to be sent over, I've been really enjoying going through the unofficial photos (some of which you can now see in a dedicated blog post right here!) There are so many great photos, that I can't say I have a favourite. But I love this shot which includes my two female colleagues, the lovely Steph (a fellow blogger!) and a wonderfully executed photobomb from the husband of one of my bridesmaids. We all look so happy, and like we're having such a good time. And that's because we were! Can I please, please, PLEASE do my wedding day all over again?!

Despite trying to curb my spending habits over the last few weeks, I've still spent far too much. The one purchase that stands out this month though? This desk calendar from Wilko. Isn't it just blogger goals, though? I mean, look at that marble effect! I was planning on taking this into work to put on my desk, but it's found its way onto my bookcase in our front room instead. I just can't help but want to show it off, to be honest!

And a cat photo, because Harley will never not be my favourite little fella. He's just too damn cute, so sweet and very sensitive. When I'm poorly, or in pain, he always comes and curls up with me. Whereas usually, he'd disappear upstairs all day. I mean, cats are definitely the best to be honest <3

You won't be surprised to learn that unicorns are still my absolute faves. I don't see my unicorn obsession ending anytime soon. I finally managed to get my hands on Asda's Unicorn Tumblers, and honestly? It just about made my month. I've been looking for these glasses for ages, but my local store had everything but the unicorn design. So I went a little further afield, and finally found them. I grabbed three, although I'm sorely tempted to go back and grab a further three. At 75p, they're a bargain!

And finally, I bought (yet another) new handbag and purse in the River Island sale. I got both the handbag and purse for almost as much as I'd have paid for just the bag, had it not been in the sale! So I consider that to be a pretty good deal. And I am so in love with this bag; it's the perfect size for all the crap I like to carry around with me. Plus, it looks good! I really do need to get a handle on my spending though. Maybe I'll make that a goal for November!

October was a bit of a rubbish month, if I'm being honest. I mean, it could never have lived up to September could it? October was trying to compete with my birthday, our wedding, a day out to West Midlands Safari Park, and a day out to The Warner Bros Studio Tour - The Making of Harry Potter. And in October we had? A return visit to WMSP, as we were given a free return ticket to be used by the end of of the month, a catch-up with a few friends and family, and lots of pain. I suffered through the whole month of October with a terrible mouth ulcer (due to anxiety), back pain (due to poor posture), and migraines (due to forgetting to take my meds!) But there we are, that's just how life goes. I just have to hope November will be better!

What did you get up to in October?
