Living an Imperfect Life || With The Imperfect Life Planner

We all know I'm a sucker for a planner, don't we? If you didn't already, just take a look back over some of my posts. You'll find I buy a new planner, oh, every 2-3 months! I'm addicted to organisers. They make me feel like I have my life in order, even if I really really don't. And usually I don't. This year, thanks to Kirsty, I'm trialling a brand new to me planner. A planner called The Imperfect Life Planner. And I wanted to share the deets with you!

What's Inside The Paperchase Stationery Advent Calendar?

Unless you've been living under a rock recently, I'm sure you'll have heard of the Paperchase Stationery Advent Calendar. Out of stock for ages, I finally managed to get my hands on one just a few weeks before the start of December. And I knew straight away I wanted to blog about the advent calendar, and tell you what was in it and whether I thought it was any good. So read on, if that's your kind of thing. If not, come back Sunday for a new blog post!

My Word For 2019!

For the last few years, I've been setting myself a word for the year ahead. Why? Because keeping just one word in my mind and trying to live by that throughout the year is just a really good idea, in my opinion. Last year's word was...BETTER. And I think I did do better last year. I worked on my mental health with therapy. I improved my relationship, I worked harder on my blog, and did well in my day job (even getting a pay rise!) So, yes. I think I did do better last year. And now it's time to set myself a new word for 2019. And that word is...

What I Got For Christmas!

I'm well aware I shouldn't have to start my post with this little disclaimer, but I like to. I don't want this post to come across as though I'm bragging. I'm extremely grateful for all the lovely gifts I received from family and friends this Christmas, and I know I'm a very lucky girl! So please, just take this post for what it is. A nosy into what Christmas presents I received. And if you don't like posts like this? Come back tomorrow for something different!

The first presents I opened were from my bestie Steph. And as you can tell, she knows me so well! From left to right, back to front; Disney Bows & Whiskers Bath Milk, Unicorn Stickers, Maltesers Teasers, Unicorn Keyring, and Unicorn Mug. The Aristocats, baths, stickers, unicorns, chocolates; these are a few of my favourite things!

My Favourite Books Read In 2018!

2018 saw me read some fantastic books. And today I'm going to share them with you. So without further preamble, here are my favourite books read in 2018.

I started the year with a festive read...one that turned out be totally gripping and immersive. I read this in a matter of hours, I just could not put it down.

"It looks like a regular advent calendar.

Until DC Becky Greene starts opening doors...and discovers a crime scene behind almost every one.

The police hope it's a prank. Because if it isn't, a murderer has just surfaced - someone who's been killing for twenty years.

But why now? And why has he sent it to this police station?

As the country relaxes into festive cheer, Greene and DS Eddie Carmine must race against time to catch the killer. Because there are four doors left, and four murders will fill them...

It's shaping up to be a deadly little Christmas."
