I've been enjoying a lot more Lush baths recently because what else is there to do, really? This bath bomb was in the shape of a teapot and when it fizzed away it left behind a net of petals that smelt delightful.
A Tupperware box of milk and white chocolate brownies was left on our doorstep earlier this month by our neighbours, with this cute little note attached. What a sweet thought, and treat!
It wouldn't be a favourites post without a picture of my cat now, would it? Who has himself found a new favourite spot to lie. On top of the oven just after the hobs have been on - toasty! (Excuse the state of my hob, it's been cleaned since!)
More delicious sweet treats. Our local sweet shop, who are of course closed currently, were offering a tray of Easter brownies with contactless delivery. I was lucky enough to grab one, as they were limited availability, and we really enjoyed them!
I've been colouring in lots of rainbows to put in my front windows for passers-by to see this month. I spotted this design on Facebook and, once printed, set to work colouring it before displaying it in my living room window for all to see. It's a nice way to show appreciation for the NHS, who are putting their lives on the line everyday to save ours.
The prettiest blossom tree! This was one of a few, all in a row, that lined the path up to our local corner shop. I just adore blossom trees. It's a shame there aren't more around here really!
These beautiful tulips were left on my doorstep by another neighbour, as thanks for being "nice people." It's so lovely to be surrounded by such good neighbours/friends! This same neighbour has also been bringing us homemade cake regularly. Pretty sure when lockdown ends I'll be too fat to leave the house anyway!
Easter! Hubby and I had two eggs each; a Cadbury Roses one and a Galaxy Ripple one. We saved our Galaxy Ripple egg for Easter Sunday to have after our Easter roast. But we tucked into our Cadbury Roses one as soon as we picked it up with our grocery shop.
Tell me one of your favourite things from April in the comments section!
Fab post, Aimee, it lifted my spirits! I love the NHS colour in page you shared, such a lovely idea. I adore blossom trees too, we have some pretty ones in our road that I photographed. Those brownies look heavenly! I’m hoping to bake a cake for my Dad’s birthday coming up soon. I’m currently doing a 1000 piece jigsaw, and I’ve found it therapeutic to keep adding pieces each day. Thanks for sharing your recent favs. Take care and stay safe. :-) xx
