Mr And Mrs Hyndman: One Year On

You guys, Chris and I have been married for a whole year now! I know, how is that even possible? Since it's been a whole year since we tied the knot, I thought I'd share with you a little update on how married life is going.

Well, nothing's really changed to be honest. The amount of times I've been asked; "so, how's married life treating you?" It's a question that infuriates me, if I'm honest. Because really, all that's changed is my last name.

Has anything else really changed? No. I still get a giddy little thrill when I hear Chris refer to me as his wife. Or when someone calls me Mrs H. I still have a last name that no one can pronounce, or spell. So, no. Nothing's really changed at all.

I threaten Chris with divorce on a regular basis. In a, mostly, joking manner. I think I've only meant it once, maybe twice. We get on pretty well on the whole, and since saying "I do" have just continued as we always have. Why fix what wasn't broken, right?

I love looking back on our wedding photos, or diving into our wedding memory box. The day went by so fast, and I missed lots of little details and moments. So the wedding photos are vital. I so wish we'd have a videographer too. I know I'd be watching that video on a weekly basis!

I'm so happy I married my best friend. I know it's cheesy, and a cliche. But it's true. He is my best friend. My soulmate. We're so happy together. And I know I made the right decision in becoming his wife. Here's to another year, and many more, of marriage!

What tips do you have for a healthy and happy marriage?

    1. Awesome - my hubby and I have been together for nearly 8 years (come January) but only been married a year and the spark definitely hasn't gone. It's great, isn't it?
