Life Lately - November Edition!

No automatic alt text available.

November seemed to just fly by! It wasn't the best month for my family and I, as my granddad was taken very ill and rushed into hospital in the earlier part of the month. He was there for two weeks, but is now home and doing much better. But it was an awful few weeks, worrying and waiting for news. I rang him every couple of days whilst he was in hospital, and now that he's home we've been down to see him and had a nice roast dinner with my grandparents.

We got our wedding photos back this month, too. That was exciting! I've shared a few of our photos in different posts on the blog, and there's one more at the bottom of this post. I'll have a blog post go up soon with loads more photos, though, so keep an eye out for that! As we've now been married for two whole months, my Let's Talk Weddings series is coming it's natural end. I'll probably revisit it in on our wedding anniversaries. And I may share some wedding tips posts in the series. But it seemed like the right time, with that series winding up, to start a new series. And that's Let's Talk Babies! I'm sharing our experience of trying for a baby, as it's not been at all straightforward for us, and if you want to read the first post in the series, click here.

So, what else? We got together with my blogging bestie, Steph, and her other half for a double date. We all had such a nice evening, it was fab. We'll definitely be doing it again, soon! I also caught up with my bridesmaid, Tanya, and her little girls. It was her youngest's birthday this month, so I made sure she had a nice present. I had a week off work, much needed, and got to do a spot of shopping with my mother-in-law. She bought me a Grumpy Cat Christmas Tee from Primark!

November saw the long-awaited release of Taylor Swift's new album, Reputation, and The Sims 4's new expansion pack, Cats and Dogs. I got so absorbed in playing the new expansion pack, that I forgot to buy Taylor's new album until a few days later...oops? I'm loving both, though; the album and the expansion pack. I'm loving playing as a veterinarian, with so many dogs and cats in my home. I'm also playing Reputation on repeat in my car; and singing along at full volume.

It's been a month of ups and downs, more downs than I would like but that's life, isn't it? I'm somewhat looking forward to Christmas, and spending some more time with my granddad. It's so important to make the most of every day with him. If I lived nearer, I'd probably be popping in every day! As it is, I'll be popping in again nearer his birthday, and we always spend Boxing Day together. So that's something to look forward to! Anyway, enough rambling from me. Enjoy another wedding photo, and keep an eye out for the dedicated wedding photos post coming soon!

(It seems I can't decide on a style for these Life Lately posts - previous posts have been more structured. Today's was more of a rambling, chatty post. I'd love to know what you prefer - let me know in the comments!)
