Autumn Skincare Tips || Guest Post

Autumn is finally here, and that means one thing – it’s about time you upgraded your skincare routine and adapted it for this magnificent season. If you don’t really know how to make that happen, don’t worry – just stay with us and keep on reading. Here are 4 amazing tips on how to accomplish that like a pro and give your skin what it needs and deserves!

Step up your moisturizing game

Everyone knows that only a moisturized and nourished skin is actually a healthy skin, so be sure to bear that in mind this autumn. You should know that lightweight products like gels and serums were completely fine during summer, since your skin could absorb them really quickly. These were also fine because they didn’t make your face greasy and shiny, which is extremely important during summer. However, these won’t be enough for autumn, since your skin craves for deeper hydration. Be sure to check out Pola skincare products that offer really thick and rich formulas which can penetrate deep into your skin and nourish it from within. This way, you’ll provide your skin with extra moisture as soon as colder weather kicks in.

Don’t forget to exfoliate

Apart from appropriate moisturizer, a gentle facial scrub is also an absolute must during autumn for one main reason. It will get rid of the dead skin cells that have been building up on the surface for a long time, which will inevitably help your skin look smoother and more youthful. This is true not only for your face, but also for the rest of your body. Your skin in general is likely to be dried out after summer, since all those things you love about this season like the sun, sea, beach, sand, and pools can actually cause damage to your largest organ. However, you don’t have to worry because you can repair that damage, and besides a good moisturizer, you should make a fabulous DIY facial scrub as soon as possible!

See a professional beautician

Getting a professional treatment in your favourite beauty salon is also a great choice, especially if you love to get pampered and take care of your skin at the same time. If that’s the case, be sure to book an appointment with your beautician and see what they can do with your face. This is actually one of the best ways to get personalised skincare that’ll perfectly correspond to your skin type, since your beautician will target specific issues and determine which products are the most appropriate for your skin.

Take care of your hands and feet as well

Even though it seems so obvious, many women actually forget to take care of their hands and feet until these become so dry, cracked, and often really painful. That’s a completely wrong approach simply because each part of your body deserves equal amount of care – and that includes your hands and feet as well. There are specific creams targeted at these two areas; however, if you’re just too lazy to get them, you can always use your body moisturizer instead of spending money on more products. The bottom line is that you shouldn’t forget to pamper your feet and hands, since they are important parts of your body that need extra care, too!

Upgrading your skincare routine for autumn definitely isn’t as tricky as you probably thought – all you should do is to listen to your body and see what your skin needs most. Once that’s done, you’ll know exactly what to do!

  1. All really great advice here, as silly as it is, I always forget to moisturise and look after my skin properly - which is really bad as I have dry/sensitive skin so I really need to focus more on looking after my skin, so this post was just the kind of thing I needed to read today, so thank you! - Tasha
