August Favourites!

August seemed to go by in the blink of an eye. Time really does fly when you're having fun, I guess. And August bought with it plenty of fun. Here are a few of my favourites from the past month!

Wedding Prep

There has been so much wedding prep throughout August. From ordering our wedding cake, to sorting out our flowers; it's been wedding central around here recently! But by far my favourite wedding prep this month has been my wedding makeup trial! I was so pleased with how my face turned out - natural and subtle. I even bought the makeup Sadie, my makeup artist, used, because I loved the look.

Book

I've read some really fantastic books this month. Some contenders included; The Marsh King's Daughter, White Lies and Persons Unknown. But The Child, by Fiona Barton, stole first place. It was just such a fantastic novel; full of shocking revelations and so many twists and turns. That ending, though. It totally blew me away; I was not expecting that. Truly a five star read.

Food

After my wedding makeup trial, one of my bridesmaids and I took a little trip down to Cribbs Causeway for some lunch and a spot of shopping. She'd never been to Chiquitos before, which is one of my favourite restaurants, and I hadn't been for ages, so that's where we ended up! I had classic chicken fajitas, and a side of tortilla chips with salsa. And I finished it off with churros, my favourite desert!

TV Show

Impractical Jokers is back on British telly with a new season! And I'm so excited. I have been watching countless re-runs over the last few months, just to get my Impractical Jokers fix. I'm so pleased to have some new shows to watch now! Impractical Jokers is one of my favourite shows on TV at the moment. It's so easy to watch, and never fails to make me chuckle.

Purchase

After my wedding makeup trial, as I already mentioned, I picked up a few of the bits that Sadie used to make me look beautific! The Natural Mineral Shimmer, Lip Gloss and Lipstick are just enough to brighten up my face (with a base of foundation) without requiring too much effort on a morning!

Music

I recently rediscovered my love for Eminem. Whatever mood I'm in, Eminem has a song for that. My favourite album of his, although they are all great, is definitely Recovery. And my favourite song? Talkin' To Myself. This has been on repeat in my car all month!

What have you been loving this month?
