10 More Things About Me!

Back in 2015, I wrote 10 Things About Me. It was a really fun post to write, and lots of you seemed to enjoy reading it, but I never thought to do a follow-up to it. That was until I read Closingwinter's post, 20 Random Facts About Me, and had a lightbulb moment. And that's how this post came about. So, without further ado, I present to you; 10 more things about me...

1. I started learning to drive when I was 17 (nearly 10 years ago now - eek!) But I only passed my test the week before I turned 26.

2. My favourite flowers are lilies.

3. After leaving school, I spent a year studying Creative Writing but then changed topics completely. I spent a further two years studying Criminology before deciding that university really wasn't for me, and dropping out.

4. I got my first tattoo when I was 15. The tattoo parlour didn't even ask me for ID!

5. I always have, at least, two diaries/organisers/planners on the go at one time. One is never enough.

6. When I was 8, or 9, I wanted to be a vet. But when I learnt that meant sticking your arm up a cow's butt, I changed my mind. Writer came next; then teacher; followed by police officer. I now work in Marketing, and love my job. Moral of the story? You can change your mind as many times as you like until you find a job you love!

7. I hate the feeling of wet hair on my skin. It makes me shudder! I will keep my hair wrapped up in a towel for as long as possible to avoid feeling the wet hair on my neck.

8. I vastly prefer animals to humans.

9. I hate roses. The flowers, not the chocolates.

10. I will only be Miss Cottle for five more months. After that, I'll be Mrs Hyndman...eek!

Tell me something I don't know about you?

  1. I HATE having wet hair. In fact, I just hate being wet - as soon as I step out of the shower/bath I have to dry myself IMMEDIATELY and I always blow dry my hair because I can't stand the feeling of it being wet. I don't know how people can go to bed with wet hair - that'd be like torture to me. *shudder*

  3. I have often wanted to go on a creative writing course mostly to meet like minded people and to have someone to bounce ideas off. I've thought about going on one of those writing retreats a few times. Make it a holiday at the same time. Can't believe how quickly your wedding is approaching. Soooo exciting! Xxx
