An interview with...Underland to Wonderland!

Well guess what it's time for? Those of you who said, another installment of 'An Interview With...' would be right! May sees me interviewing someone I consider to be a friend, as well as a bloody amazing blogger. Danielle, of Underland to Wonderland, has a blog that I always look forward to  reading - I genuinely get so excited when I see a new post from her in my Bloglovin' feed! Hopefully you'll enjoy learning a bit more about the lady behind the blog, and maybe you'll pop on over to her blog and give her a follow? *bats lashes* And now, I'm handing over to Danielle!

Hi Danielle! First of all, tell me a little bit about yourself and your blog?
Hellooo! Okay so me? I'm an elderly person in the body of a tattooed 25 year old. My life revolves around my dog, Disney and bird/wildlife photography. I don't drink, go out or do much anyone my age does so spend a lot of time by myself and blogging.
As for my blog - it's the main thing I spend my time on apart from housework haha. It is a true lifestyle blog housing my photography, sharing my adventures and lots more.

And what inspired you to start Underland to Wonderland?
This blog is actually my 3rd or 4th attempt at a blog and I started it in 2011. As you can probably tell it's the one that stuck and is therefore my longest running. In a nutshell, I originally started it when I first moved away properly from my home town so that my parents could keep up with us.

What are your favourite types of posts to read?
I love to read more personal posts from things like travel and holidays to days out and daily life. I'm not the biggest fan of reviews and posts that tell you how you should be blogging or what not to do.

How has blogging changed your life?
I suppose in a way it gave me purpose in the early years. Even now I suppose, it is my main hobby and most days if I am not writing and scheduling posts, I'm out taking photos and stuff. It encourages me to take more photos and explore more places as I have somewhere to share it all instead of just a photo album on my external hardrive.
Most people comment on the people they have met and such, though for me I can't attend events or meets due to certain social fears of mine so it hasn't changed my life in that sort of way. However, I have to mention that I have made a handful of what I am able to actaully call 'friends' through my blog. I haven't met any of them as of yet but one meet is planned for this year. Wish me luck, I'm petrified haha.

What has been the highlight of your blogging career so far?
This question I struggle to answer as although it's coming up on five years, there hasn't been a pinical moment or anything. I wouldn't even define it as a career as I don't make any money from it.

If you could give one piece of advice to new bloggers, what would it be?
Don't start a blog or get into it purely because you've heard of 'big' bloggers who make money from it and you want to be like them. I've seen so many come and go over the past year or two as they have no idea of the amount of time and effort it actaully takes. A blog should first and foremost by something you enjoy doing, if after that some income making opportunities come your way, well than that's icing on the cake.

So, what do you hope for the future of Underland to Wonderland?
I just plan to keep it going, documenting my life, for as long as I can. I can't see myself stopping anytime soon!

And what are your own personal life goals?
Just to keep being a good person haha. I do as much as I can for charity as it is but always try to do more. I hope to encourage others to do the same too, as well as making people smile! Selfishly, my main life goal is to own a house in the next 10 years hopefully.

Besides blogging, what are you passionate about?
Animals, wildlife, conservation, nature. Giving a voice to those who don't have one. The world of Disney and life of Mr Walter Elias. Living a clean and modest lifestyle.

Finally, tell me three random things about you?!
- I'm very forgetful. Very, very, forgetful.
- Hufflepuff for life.
- I cry all the time. Happy, sad, whatever. I cry at movies, adverts, news stories, when the dog does something cute - I'm super emotional.
