An interview with...Bronagh's Beauty and Books!

Welcome to the second blogger interview of 2016. I don't know about you, but I'm loving this series; the chance to get to know other bloggers who I love and look up to! It's great! Today I had the pleasure of interviewing the lovely Bronagh, of Bronagh's Beauty and Books. Bronagh's blog has a selection of posts about beauty, fashion, lifestyle, mental health, and books! Truly something for everyone. And now, here's Bronagh, to tell you more about herself, and her blog, in her own words...

1. Hi Bronagh! First of all, tell me a little bit about yourself and your blog?

Well, I live in Northern Ireland, which is super tiny compared to most places, and I’m lucky enough to live super close to the sea, so I love getting to do photographs there!
My blog focuses mostly on all things beauty and books. I’ve loved make-up and cosmetics from a young age and now I have somewhere I can share my love of it all with!

2. And what inspired you to start Bronaghs Beauty and Books?

I wanted somewhere I could be myself and talk about anything and everything that took my interest. It’s helped me build up so much confidence and now I’m so much happier with everything!

3. What are your favourite types of posts to read?

I love haul posts, and what’s in my bag posts. I’m super nosey and this gives me an insight into what other people love and carry around with them.

4. How has blogging changed your life?

I’ve made some amazing friends and I’ve gained so much confidence. I used to really shy away from everything and everyone, now I’m so much more outgoing. I’m even trying out new makeup looks and clothing styles!

5. What has been the highlight of your blogging career so far?

Getting to read and review Cassandra Clare’s book “The Iron Trial” and “The Copper Gauntlet” before it was released. I love her books, so this was the most amazing thing!

6. If you could give one piece of advice to new bloggers, what would it be?

Be yourself! You don’t need to hide behind a persona with blogging, all your quirks will be loved by everyone. Also Twitter chats are your friend! They are the best way to make new blogging friends and to get your blog out there.

7. So, what do you hope for the future of Bronaghs Beauty and Books?

I plan to be around for the long term with this. I’m currently starting to offer advertising and I hope to someday be able to do some form of writing full time. My really “out there” goal is to have my own beauty product or makeup line. A girl can dream right?

8. And what are your own personal life goals?

My life goals are all very education oriented. I want to study online for a business degree once I finish my access to university course.  I also want to do a creative writing course to build up those skills, so I can work more on my first book. I’m going to be a busy bee!

9. Besides blogging, what are you passionate about?

Writing is one of my biggest passions! I’ve always wanted to write and make a living by writing, so having my blog is definitely helping to feed that passion. I also want to rescue every shelter animal ever. I can’t say no to a cute animal. In 20 years I’ll probably be one of the people you see on TV with like 30 cats and dogs.

10. Finally, tell me three random things about you?!

1 – I love leopard print. I own clothing, bed sheets and even makeup brushes just because they had a leopard print design on them!

2 – I am mildly (read: extremely) addicted to Prawn Cocktail crisps, but I’ve never actually had a proper prawn cocktail and I hate prawns.

3 – I cannot watch more than one show at a time. I watched all the seasons of house, then moved onto Lie to Me and next it will be scandal. I cannot imagine trying to watch two different shows at the same time as I’d confuse them!

Thank you, Bronagh, for taking the time out to talk to me! Next month's interview is with Jess of The Twenty Third. Make sure you check back for that one! And do let me know if you're enjoying this series!

Keep up with my latest posts, follow me :)
