An interview with...Elelibee!

In this sixth, and final, interview in a series featuring interviews with awesome bloggers, I'm interviewing the fabulous Laura, of elelibee! Laura, like me, is an obsessive compulsive notebook buyer and, apparently, has more stickers than sense! On her blog, you'll find a collection of beauty, travel, and advice posts, as well as so much more.
Now, I'll hand over to Laura to tell you more in her own words...

1. Hi Laura! First of all, tell me a little bit about yourself and your blog?
Hi Aimee! I’m Laura and I blog over at elelibee.co.uk. I blog about my  travels, my random thoughts and things that I hope will help people such as my university series.

2. And what inspired you to start Elelibee?
I’ve had blogs since I was 16, but never stuck them out for too long. I created elelibee back in July last year after realising that I missed having an output for things that I wanted to talk about and share. I had just broken up with my ex at the time and I was heartbroken and lonely. Elelibee allowed me to open up to a whole new world and find that you’re never alone in the blogosphere, it was so lovely an reassuring :)

3. What type of posts do you like to read?
I love lifestyle posts and thoughts. I don’t have much money so I’m not a fan of reading reviews etc, because it feels as if it’s a carrot hanging in front of a donkey! I love being let into somebody’s mind though. I think that’s the beauty of blogging that you could voice anything and people will always be in the same boat somewhere.

4. How has blogging changed your life?
I have met some amazing friends through blogging who I speak to everyday. I couldn’t imagine my life without them now. It’s also opened up event opportunities for me that I would have never have been to if I never stuck with elelibee.

5. What has been the highlight of your blogging career so far?
Definitely meeting girls that have supported my blog since it began. And a cocktail night that I went to at Cloud 23 in Manchester – one of the best nights ever (http://www.elelibee.co.uk/2015/04/cloud-23-cocktails-in-city.html)

6. If you could give one piece of advice to new bloggers, what would it be?
Don’t compare your blog to others. Becoming a blogger is something that you should do out of a love and a passion, not to become like the ‘big boys’. Everybody starts somewhere, and as long as you love what you do, it will shine through.

7. So, what are your hopes for the future of elelibee?
Honestly, it’s not something that I think about. I have achieved so much personally through my blog within a year, that anything that could build upon that would just be a bonus. As long as I still enjoy sharing my thoughts and stories, I’ll be happy whichever direction that it goes.

8.  And what are your own, personal life goals?
I wish I knew this myself. Having just graduated and being a little bit lost, I’m still trying to figure those goals out.

9. Besides blogging, what are you passionate about?
Animals, animals, animals. And making the world a kinder place.

10. Finally, tell me three facts about yourself?
I have met Katy Perry twice.  I have mesophobia. I am scared of octopuses! *shudders*

Laura, it has been a pleasure. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I look forward to watching your blog grow!

And that, folks, is the final interview in this series for 2015. I'll be here on Wednesday, though, to tell you all what I've read in December!

Laters, lovelies <3
