An interview with...Dorkface!

In this third interview in a series featuring interviews with awesome bloggers, I'm interviewing the fantastic Jemma, of Dorkface! Jemma writes lifestyle, beauty, kawaii, and art and craft posts - I love her DIY posts! Without further ado, here's Jemma to tell you more in her own words...

1. Hi Jemma! First of all, tell me a little bit about yourself, and your blog?

I'm Jemma, I'm 27 years old and I blog over at www.dorkface.co.uk.
I recently went into self employment which means I can focus on my blog a lot more, which I'm very excited about. I write lifestyle, beauty, art, craft and posts about my inspirations. I also share my experiences as a full time creative who sells handmade art, jewellery and accessories in my etsy store.

2. And what inspired you to start Dorkface

I love writing! I've always been a writer, and love creating in so many forms. Creating a whole online world just for myself is a great outlet for creativity, and I discovered this amazing community too! I wanted to share all my hobbies and loves with everyone.

3. What are your favourite types of posts to write?

Cute DIY posts, lifestyle/chatty ones and anything kawaii!

4. How has blogging changed your life?

I'm now way more outgoing and confident for sure. I've made so many more friends. I have a huge passion for what I do. And it's changing my career in a big way. Because of my blog I managed to get a job working in social media, and I hope one day I can go full time.

5. What has been the highlight of your blogging career so far?

The highlight so far has been making so many friends who I'm so close to now! Going to events has really given me confidence too. I think the biggest change has been that I'm now able to work for myself, which was always my dream.

6. If you could give one piece of advice to new bloggers, what would it be?

Be yourself, be honest, be nice!

7. So, what are your hopes for the future of Dorkface

That it continues to grow, I can meet all my favourite bloggers and it'll help me make a career for myself!

8. And what are your own, personal life goals?

Just to be happy :) Life is for joy!

9. Besides blogging, what are you passionate about?

Art, love, family, friends, anything kawaii, tattoos and coffee. Always coffee ;)

10. Finally, tell me one random thing about yourself?

I've always kinda wanted to live in Seattle, even though I've never been! Lol.

Jemma, it's been a pleasure interviewing you. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I can't wait to read more of your blog posts in the future!

Next month, I'll be interviewing Rachel and Lauren, of The Flower That Blooms. Before then, I'll be here on Wednesday to tell you what I've been reading in September!

Have a lovely week <3
