A look inside my handbag!

I love handbags. I spend far too much money on new bags and frequently have to thin out my collection when I've got too many! My latest handbag, pictured above, is a bag I've been lusting after for months and finally decided to splurge on.
Most of my bags come from Debenham's, but this particular one actually comes from an independant shop on the high street in Tewkesbury. It's a gorgeous design and plenty big enough to contain everything I usually carry around with me;
  • Planner and pen- I'm a very organised person,so I never leave the house without my planner. I'm often adding things to the diary on the go, or looking up addresses up on the bus!
  • Purse - This goes without saying really. I've got my cash, cards, stamps, receipts and driving licence on me at all times in this gorgeous, cream coloured River Island purse!
  • Make-up bag - A Christmas present which came in very handy and contains; hairbands, ibuprofen, paracetamol, hair grips, compact mirror, The Body Shop spiced apple hand cream, Pound shop foundation, two tubes of mascara (Soap & Glory, Avon), Avon eyeliner and Soap & Glory lipgloss!
  •  Primark antibacterial wipes - I love these! £1 for 2 packs - a bargain. Public toilets, germy buses, messy lunches. There's always a need for cleaning wipes!
  • Plasters - Because you never know when you're going to get a blister, or a paper-cut. Plasters are an handbag must-have!
  • Torch - Another must-have for coming home in the dark and trying to find the key-hole, or lighting your way along a dark road!
  • Vaseline lip balm - I have two tubs of Vaseline in my handbag; raspberry, and vanilla & macademia. If I can't find one I can always find the other!
  • Wrigley's Extra chewing gum - I'm not a big fan of chewing gum, but if I've had something with garlic or onion for lunch, gum always comes in handy!
  • Impulse body spray - In place of perfume, which is expensive. I usually apply before I go out, but if it's a hot day I'll spray some on on the go!
  • Boots antibacterial foaming hand wash - Perfect for washing your hands on the go after a sticky meal, or a particularly gross public toilet encounter!
  • Nivea body cream - A small tub to apply to dry skin on the go. In the winter months when my skin gets dry and cracked, this becomes essential!
  • Soap & Glory hand cream - I've been searching for hand cream that won't leave my hands greasy for years. I've finally found it!
  • Nivea deodorant - I never leave the  house without deodorant in my bag. If I get a bit sweaty on my shopping trips, I can pop into a toilet, spray some smelly on and be good as new!
  • Allergy tablets - I suffer terribly with allergies in the summer months, so always keep a few tablets in my bag to keep the symptoms at bay!
  • Sunglasses - Sunlight can bring on headaches/migraines, so I never leave the house in summer months without a pair of sunglasses in my bag!
  • Keys - Well, without them I'd never get back into the house! These are a must for anyone- man or woman!
So there you have it; a look inside my handbag! What's inside yours? Do you think I have too much stuff inside my bag? Or not enough?! Please feel free to leave me your feedback in the comments! And on Friday I'll be publishing another shopping spree haul post! Until then, have a good week!

  1. hi. creative post idea. I don't have a handbag, just a leather backpack from the nineties my mom gave me because my usual one has a broken zipper and a broken strap, and a hole at the bottom.

    1. Thank you :) I think backpacks should be classed as a kinda handbag. I mean, okay, they go on your back not in your hands or on your arm, but they still hold all your stuff? I could easily transfer all this to a backpack and use that, and I did a while back. :) I just find backpacks fiddly when you're trying to pay for something and you've gotta get your purse out...
